Under 17's

NOT QUITE 17 AND ITCHING TO GET STARTED
this could be for you!

Perhaps you would like to try an introductory lesson to see what this driving lark is all about (most new drivers have no idea what to expect).

Perhaps you would like to have a look at us and see what we have to offer before your birthday comes around, so that as soon as you are 17 you can be off to a flying start.

Perhaps you are waiting for, or have not applied for your licence yet.

THE TWO HOUR SESSION.
(Will be conducted at the off road site at Westonzoyland or the Devon Driver centre.)

This will not be, just have a go, it will be a very professionally structured lesson and include the following syllabus:

* Introduction to the driving syllabus and what is required

* Introduction to standard terms and conditions that driving schools operate.

* Introduction to the theory and hazard perception test, along with recommended books and software.

* Explanation of vehicle controls and use.

* Practice (cockpit drill) setting up your seat, mirrors, steering, head restraint, gears, handbrake and checking the doors are securely closed (we don’t want you to fall out on the first corner)

* Practice moving off and stopping safely and under control.
It very rare that we see bunny hopping or stalling, if you understand how the clutch works it is really very simple to pull away smoothly.

* Practice steering to the correct technique (a major benefit before on road driving).

* Practice turning to the left and right.

* Practice correct use of mirrors and understand why and when you use them.

* Practice use of signals and understand when and why you use them.

The major benefits of an off road lesson are as follows:

We find that our new clients are far more relaxed when progressing on to the road for the first time. (A quite housing estate is used for the first on road lesson)

Having practiced moving off and stopping before means the transition is very natural and success rate is very high.

A knowledge of when to check mirrors and when to signal helps with confidence.

It also speeds up the learning process and saves time and money as these are the topics we would normally cover on the 1st lesson.

We offer a full pick up and drop off service throughout the Bridgwater and Taunton area.

Parents are very welcome to join us on the lesson.

We are able to offer a substantial discount to new clients on our normal lesson prices. (See price panel)
